Business Interruption Insurance

Many companies, including restaurants and bars, have Business Interruption Insurance. Normally, these policies cover things like bad weather, fires, property damage, terrorism, etc. These policies are very common in Florida due to hurricanes. Wimbledon, the British ennis tournament held every summer, received $141 million from its policy.

Thousands of small businesses have been filing claims and they have been mostly denied. Insurance companies are not your friends, so this is not a surprise. There are discussions of legislation requiring payment, but while this is going on, you should still make a claim.

We have extensive experience here at Comer Law in these types of insurance disputes, so if you have any questions about your policy, give us a call and we will look at it for free and discuss with you what your options are. After all, you kept your end of the bargain--you paid the premiums. The insurance company should keep theirs.
